Jessica Dodt-Escobar
Jessica Dodt-Escobar serves as vice president, investor communications and REIT operations of Capital Square. She leads the investor reporting team with the goal of producing best-in-class investor communications, and she also spearheads efforts related to Capital Square’s real estate investment trust (REIT). Her work has been instrumental in the development of the company’s corporate responsibility program, which integrates environmental, social and governance (ESG) and sustainability best practices.
Prior to joining Capital Square, Dodt-Escobar was an investor relations communications specialist with Apple REIT Companies, the parent company of Apple Hospitality REIT (NYSE:APLE), where she leveraged internal data and Google Analytics to track investors and the movement of shares among holders and funds, maintained the company website and coordinated two successful website redesigns, and established the company’s sustainability program to oversee ESG efforts. She also worked as an associate of investor relations with Apple REIT, where she created quarterly and annual reports shared with more than 70,000 shareholders, wrote press releases filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), designed investor-focused presentations, slide decks and Board of Director materials, and compiled regulatory notices for filing with the SEC. Earlier in her career, Dodt-Escobar served as a marketing coordinator and database administrator with The McCammon Group, a Virginia-based dispute resolution firm, and as a marketing coordinator with Federal Realty Investment Trust (NYSE:FRT).
Dodt-Escobar earned her bachelor’s degree, with honors, in communications studies from James Madison University, where she focused on health communications and organizational communications. She holds a minor in criminal justice.
